Release Month Celebration

Did you hear that? That was me screeching with excitement…well, it was probably more like a sickly howl, but still… I’m so stoked. In twenty-four days Save My Soul will be available to the public. SHUT UP! Seriously, after what seems like a million revisions and a million more read-throughs over the past three years, the finished product is at hand. It’s time to celebrate!

So, here’s how this is going to go…

I’ll be guesting on various blogs (awesome, super writer friends whose blogs and books you won’t want to miss) for a month, starting March 25. At most blogs, I’ll be giving away a Save My Soul swag pack, including a $10 Amazon gift card. Winners will automatically be entered into my grand prize drawing, which will take place here—maybe on Webcam with the help of Lizzy, my Boston terrier, but that’s still a work in progress. Of course, you don’t have to win at a blog hop stop to enter the grand prize drawing. You can do it right here on my website. I’ll let you know how closer to the date, when I release the exact details and itinerary for the month.

So, what’s the grand prize? Your choice of ONE of the following: $100 gift card to Sundance Catalog OR $100 gift card to Cabela’s OR $100 gift card to BRAVO! Cucina Italiana (All three are tied to the book somehow, and I’ll elaborate when the official rules are posted.)

That’s the big thing I’m looking forward to. I’m also looking forward to having my first set of professional author pictures taken (Wednesday)—okay, I’m really not looking forward to that, but it should be done. Invitations for my first Champagne Book Club have gone out. (This is a tradition I’ve dreamed of having with my closest friends and beta readers since I started writing. It’s a “girls night” with lots of champagne, where we talk about the book on the eve [or close to the eve] of the book’s release.) Grey’s book (Change My Mind: Book Two in the Kemmons Brothers Baseball Series) is about a week away from being handed over to my editor. And I think that’s it. Is that it? Hmmm. If not, I’ll update this post.

In parting, I’ll leave you with a picture I took at the lake about three or four years ago. The art department did not see this photo, and yet when I look at the cover of Save My Soul, I can’t believe the uncanny coincidence of the rope railing. I guess some things are just meant to be. 🙂

Lake Norman, North Carolina

Hope you’re well and happy and following your dreams, wherever you are.
